NYCD COLUMBIA ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

The New York City Department of Correction Columbia Association is pleased to announce the availability of two scholarship awards for the current/upcoming academic year. These awards are intended to recognize and support the educational pursuits of the family of our members.

The John A. Romano Scholarship Fund – One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000, generously endowed by John Romano.
The NYCD Columbia Association Scholarship Fund – One (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000, awarded directly by the Columbia Association.

Applicants are invited to submit their completed applications in accordance with the guidelines provided herein:

The Applicant must be a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, sibling (brother or sister), niece, or nephew of a Regular Member as defined in the By-Laws of the NYCD Columbia Association

In addition, the Applicant’s sponsor must be a member of the Society in good standing at the time of the application and for two consecutive years.

Members applying must submit proof of NYCD Columbia Association membership dues paid for the current year below.

Exception: a member of NYCD who has joined the Columbia Association within one year and who otherwise meets the requirements stated may be considered eligible.

I understand if the member is not present at the time of awarding scholarship, the scholarship will be awarded to the next successful applicant.
